Even
before
the
dust
about
CJI's
wife's
land
scam
in
Madhya
Pradesh
has
not
settled,
we
have
come
to
know
of
yet
another
land
scam
involving
the
family
of.
Dr.
AS
Anand.
In
this
matter
also
he
was
involved
as
one
of
the
petitioners
(see
document1).
When
the
present
CJI
was
posted
as
the
Chief
Justice
J&K
High
Court,
he
along
with
8
other
family
members
filed
a
writ
petition
no
58
/
83
on
1.2.83
seeking
quashment
of
the
provisions
of
the
J&K
Agrarian
Reforms
Act,
1976.The
writ
petition
was
admitted
and
the
state
govt.
was
directed
vide
stay
order
dt
3.2.83
(see
document2)
not
to
interfere
with
the
possession
of
the
land
which
was
to
be
vested
in
the
state
govt.
as
per
the
provisions
of
the
Act.
In
March,
1983
itself
the
state
govt.
filed
their
reply
pointing
out
that
the
Hon'ble
Supreme
Court
had
already
decided
in
AIR
1983
/
SC
/
920,
that
the
provisions
of
Agrarian
Act
1976
are
not
ultra
vires
of
the
constitution.
But
surprisingly,
the
Writ
Petition
never
came
up
for
hearing
thereafter.
Like
it
was
done
in
Madhya
Pradesh,
here
too
the
state
goverment
co-operated
with
Dr.
Anand's
plan
and
did
not
